GALERIARTIST is a contemporary art gallery based in Istanbul.
Founded by in 1986, the gallery has developed a showcase for contemporary art.
From the start, the gallery’s mission has been to link European and Turkish art in Istanbul, where East meets West.
That is to say, promoting foreign artists who have shown their influence on contemporary art in Turkey and Turkish artists abroad.
GALERIARTIST played a part in bringing internationally known artists to Turkey.
The headquarters in Istanbul host not only the gallery itself but also the Editions department which encloses lithography, prints, limited edition of a large panel of artists and GALERIARTIST LAB, a experimental space for young artists, whose rebirth emphases the support to the new Turkish creation.
The two upper floors are dedicated to temporary exhibitions of works from the GALERIARTIST Collection alternating with the exhibitions in other local institutions or worldwide museums.
In the prospect of its art promoting policy, GALERIARTIST is also regularly editing books and monthly magazines.
